STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

*Ridgewater College will be here today at 10:30AM.  If you would like to meet with their representative and learn more about their programs and campus, sign up in the office.

*We are looking for a couple students to help in the pool with special needs students on Tuesdays from 9-10 am. If you are interested, please see Mrs.Olsen as soon as possible.

*Juniors: Mr. Jennissen and Mrs. Olsen will be meeting with you during Home Room this week to complete your registration forms for your Senior year. If you are a Junior PSEO student, not currently in a Home Room, you will need to pick up a registration form from Mr. Jennissen, and return it by the end of the week.

*Juniors: You will have the opportunity to take the ACT college entrance exam here at SMHS on April 3rd. Information has been sent to your skyward account and parent’s email regarding sign-up for the ACT, so please access your skyward for more information. The deadline to sign up is TODAY.  Forms are in the office.  The fee isn’t due today but sometime before the test.  We need to know who is planning on taking it today though.   If you have additional questions, please see Mr. Jennissen

Reminders:

* Firearm safety classes are being offered again this spring for all youth age 11 and up.  For registration information go to the Community Education website and follow the link.  Classes start April 16th and you must pre-register.

*SMHS Spring Trap and Skeet registration is open for students in 6th-12th grade that have completed firearms safety classes.  Registrations are done online with MN High School Clay Target League and due by midnight March 15th, 2018.  If you are new to the league and want to sign up, please contact Steve Benson – 218-296-0712.  Informational sheets are available at the office.

*Senior parents, check out the scholarship opportunities posted on the HS website.  The page is under “High School”, then “Student Services”.  Scholarships are sent to our office frequently and we post them as soon as we receive them.  Check it out!  If you have any questions, please contact the HS office.  http://isd2170hs.ss9.sharpschool.com/student_services/scholarship_information

*Targeted Services/CREDIT RECOVERY runs Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:20 -5:20 in the Media Center.  A staff member is there to assist them and it is open to all HS Students.  Need transportation help to Motley?  A bus leaves Staples at 5:30 and drops off at the MS if your child needs a ride.
